Leatherfoot
Since my 20th birthday is coming up -feeling old :*( - I had to give myself a treat..or maybe more. Something that would be of a similar colour as my soon-in-my-hands mulberry bag. It starts with s and I've been wanting them for a long long time. :-) Yay!

I'm in love with an alien
Fernando and Humberto Campana, Cartoon Chair: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, 2007
Tom Price, Meltdown Chair, PP Tube, 2007
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Rocs, 2007
Fernando and Humberto Campana, Sushi IV, 2003Favourite pieces from the Exponat der Ausstellung U.F.O. in Düsseldorf. The first one I chose not because of the Aesthetic but because it is so innovative: a chair out of plushies.
I can't decide though which is my favourite: the second or the last one.
The second, the Meltdown Chair from Tom Price has a kerazzy form and kinda psychologically create the idea of being warm and safe, comfortable from inside and harsh and unfriendly from the outside of the shell. While the last one relates to my love of crystals. I dont understand its function but I would love to find a place for it in my apartment.

Lilove
How did I not get this mag? My first impossible and far from reality crush, the Firecrotch, queen of gingers, user of the 6th out of 7 lives, Lilo landed a cover in Interview. With mighty fine photos.

Wanna Go For A Ride?
Saturday there was a hippy themed party, today it's Barbie bitch and Ken. Wondering what I should wear. Possibly pastel colours: my ADD shirt bought on friday and a pair of pants by a brand i did not know the existence of : Dr. Denim.

Is It Love?
How great are these pants by Harald Helgesen from Arts Institute at Bournemouth? I've been staring (and neglected my, waiting to be developped, idea for a house) for ages now, at the harmonical altering of colours: dark goes yellow goes white (here it seems beige, but it is white). The shape looks great, but will it be so great in reality too?
The other day I tried on, a pair of pants with a similar cut to these here; i looked, however, more like someone suffering from testicular cancer rather than chic so hmm..the pants have to be real good puffed up to look good, if not itll look as if your pampers are weighing down.

(click to enlarge and enjoy what's to enjoy)
My fetishism for red-haired creatures and my longing for summer (and my desire to get crazy naked) meet at this photo. The undescribable Karen Elson, showing her pussycat or maybe its not hers at all. Fucking Hot.

Crazy Crisis
Yes, I know this economic crisis is supposed to be something like a disaster for most of the people, but since my family hasn't been (yet and hopefully never) affected from this fenomena, I'm allowed to guff out of happiness at the results. Meschugge 54, for example, is offering a fifty percent sale at the summer collection which arrived just 2-3 months ago..for 2 DAYS. Yes, just today and tomorrow, a sale opportunity to escape the complete bankrupting masqueraded as a frühlingsgefühl funfest with alcoholic beverages (bowle for everyone!).
By thok lab, on the other side, we're talking 80 percent sale on the ivanka helsinki designs (nur frauen power im afraid ).
Are other shops gonna tag along? We'll see..

Towadan Horse
The japanese architect Ryue Nishizawa (maybe related to that Taira Nishizawa from the Sumika Project?), yes the one who together with SANAA partner, Sejima, has been asked to design this year's Serpentine Pavillon, had been dealing since 2005 with the project of an art museum, who was somehow seen as the hope to rehabilitate and refill the japanese city of Towada, which along with the rest of Japan (except Tokyo) has been undergoing the continous process of emmigration towards the capital or other countries and never coming back. The project seeks to become a touristic orientation point, somekind of a future symbol of Towada. With its irregularly lying volumes, wide open glass fassades and flabbergasting floor colours it sure doesn't disappoint.
(clockwise order: zobop from jim lambie, fragment of color cubes by kyota takahashi, on clouds by tomas saraceno, flower horse by jeonghwa choi, ochrea by paul morrison)I find absolutely genius and once-of-a-kind the fact that the works were apparently done only for this museum, as a permanent and necessary part of the building. Thus there is a special bond between museum, artists and art, all forever inter linked.
